WELCOME TO PET PORTRAITS
What could be a better present to give but a portrait of your pet or favourite animal painted in pastels.
Hi and thankyou for viewing my website I live in Richmond, North Yorkshire where I do the majority of my work. Please take a look at my gallery for a few of the pastel portraits I have done. Please bear in mind when viewing these portraits that the quality will not reflect that of my original. As you will see its not all about cats and dogs, a recent visit to Australia inspired me onto various animals, there is still a few more to transfer onto my site.
The actual portrait size will depend on the width of the mount used with the width chosen to compliment the portrait. I work in pastel pencil as I find I am able to get far more detail and character into my work.
ORDERING COULD NOT BE EASIER
To commission a portrait simply send me a clear image (digital photograph) of your pet or animal by either post or email, it is better if you can send me a selection showing expression, colour etc. A clear image is vital to capture a good likeness.
All the photos will be returned with the finished portrait. When you are taking your photo remember to fill the viewfinder with your pet or animal and take pictures from different angles and don t forget that all important pose that is true to your pets character.
For best results take your photograph outside on an overcast day, that way you can be sure that there are no shadows falling on your pet that shouldn't be there. Above all take your time even if it takes a couple of days to get just the right photo it will be well worth in the end.
It usually takes me between 3-4 weeks from starting a painting through to completion. This is not always the case so if you require a shorter deadline then please just let me know. If ordering for Christmas then please order early.
A £25.00 deposit is required for pastel portraits, which is fully refundable in the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with the finished portrait.
Once I have finished I will send you a copy for approval via email or post whichever you prefer.
Once you are satisfied with the finished portrait final payment is then due. Once payment is received then the painting will be sent by guaranteed delivery including insurance, therefore a signature will be required. Please see postal charges on my prices page.
